Yemen — De Facto Map
Yemen — Republic of Yemen · Internationally recognized government holds only part of the country.
Interactive de facto map of Yemen. The Republic of Yemen has been partitioned since the 2014 Houthi takeover of the capital Sana’a. The internationally recognized government, based in Aden, controls the south and east of the country, while the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) controls the populous north and west. The Southern Transitional Council runs southern Yemen as a de facto separate entity. This map shows the real territorial split of Yemen on the ground today.
