The Republic of Uganda: about 50 million people on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, governed by Yoweri Museveni since 1986. Since November 2021 its army has fought the Allied Democratic Forces — a movement born in Uganda — inside the DR Congo, at Kinshasa's invitation, across Beni, Irumu, Mambasa and Djugu. Selecting Uganda shows where that army operates: Congolese ground it does not govern, where in places the ADF, CODECO or Zaire / CRP are active too. Kampala also brokered the CRP's ceasefire in May 2026.
