Interactive de facto map of Rockall, a territory of the United Kingdom. A granite stump some 25 metres across, 160 km west of St Kilda, annexed by Britain in 1955 and made part of Scotland in 1972. Ireland has never recognised British sovereignty and holds that the rock generates no territorial sea. Since Brexit, Scotland has enforced a 12-mile zone and kept Irish boats out of its squid grounds; talks on access have not produced a deal.
