Interactive de facto map of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) controlled territory in Sudan. The RSF, evolved from the Janjaweed militias of the Darfur War, has controlled most of Darfur and sections of Khartoum, Kordofan, and Gezira since the outbreak of the Sudanese civil war in April 2023. Under the command of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo ("Hemedti"), the RSF has become a de facto rival government across western Sudan. This map shows the approximate extent of RSF territorial control.
