The summit of Mont Blanc, 4,806 metres, where French and Italian maps have disagreed since Savoy passed to France in 1860: France draws the top and its ice cap as French, Italy runs the border across the summit. No troops stand on it, but Chamonix and the Haute-Savoie prefecture regulate it as French, and Rome protested when France extended a protected zone over it in 2020. The map draws it as contested, striped in both countries' colours.
