A 2,060 km² trapezoid of empty desert on the Egypt–Sudan border that neither state claims. Cairo and Khartoum each argue for the boundary that hands the other Bir Tawil and keeps the far larger Hala'ib Triangle for itself, which leaves this the largest piece of land outside Antarctica belonging to no one. The map draws it apart from Egypt for that reason.
