Media Atropatene — Seleucid Empire.

The mountainous north-west, about Lake Urmia — a kingdom that had kept its own dynasty since Alexander’s day, ruling as Seleucid vassals when it suited them. Its founder Atropates had detached this corner of Media from the rest at the partition of Alexander’s empire, and his house held it still. In 220 BC its king Artabazanes, "reputed the most powerful of the princes beyond the Median border," was strong enough that Antiochus broke off other business and marched against him in person, compelling him by a sudden show of force to come to terms.
