The Veneti — Celtic Tribes.

The great seafaring people of the Armorican coast in the far west, where the land runs out into the Ocean. Masters of stout sailing-ships and of the sea-trade of the western waters, they hold the harbours of the rocky Atlantic shore and rule the traffic of the Ocean to the islands beyond. (These are the Armorican Veneti of the western Ocean — not the Veneti of the Adriatic.)
