The wealthy city of the Isthmus, mistress of two seas and two harbours, freed for the League by Aratus’s night-storming of Acrocorinth in 243. But the citadel above it now holds a Macedonian garrison again, returned to Doson in 224 — so the city is Achaean while its fortress is a Fetter.
